Starting at the end of the 2020 season as well as with 10 million new anglers coming into the sport, Bassmaster will continue to lead with distinction focused on High School and College for the future. Per our new media rights agreement, Fox Sports has asked for us to expand our linear coverage to both HS and College. In fact, that will start towards the end of 2021 when FS1 will carry the Bassmaster College Bracket Championships on Saturday live.
From 2012 to 2020, the Bassmaster College Series schools and clubs have grown 96% from where we started. Overall membership has increased by 137%.
From 2013 to 2020, the Bassmaster High School Series schools and clubs have grown 724%. Overall membership has increased by 1093%.
Due to the strides we’ve made in both of these series, it’s built a foundation of depth and growth for us as we move forward.
In 2021, we’ll be introducing the High School Combine connected with the High School series which inevitably will lead to growth into the College Series. Beyond that, we’ll be building a College All-American program for the 2022 season that we’d love to have St. Croix take part in.
The future for the younger demographic is clearly here and now. The key piece for us we’ll be to expand our linear coverage on Fox Sports, create more compelling ways for our consumers and fans to watch our live tournament coverage as well as to continue to provide the best in class editorial devoted towards these fields.
